- The artificial snow on the Hintertux glacier is prepared from air and water and nothing else.
- Glacial ice is moving between 0 and 40m every year and consequently support struts that stand on glacial ice have to be moved regularly.

 Mayrhofen is located at 630m in the upper Zillertal, a scenic valley in the heart of Tirol and Austria.
